wrapping and friends that go quiet

well, all the gifts are here- thank the goddess- and now it's time for my least favorite part: the wrapping. i dislike it mostly because i suck at it. i'd be perfectly happy using gift bags and tissue paper, but i get scolded whenever i try to.

and friends that go quiet on you, well they can be a pain. especially when you're talking to them and they go quiet on you. now, i can understand if they're busy, but a little word of warning would be nice y'know.

'tis the season.....

ahhhh, tis the season to go insane. although the christmas season "officially" started the day after thanksgiving, i generally refuse to do anything until december actually starts (mostly because i work retail, and we start putting christmas stuff up after halloween). now it's time to shop, wrap (which i suck at, but i get yelled at if i use gift bags. *shrugs* go fig), decorate........^_^ it really is a wonderful time of the year, despite the bitching and moaning.

happiness

i was reading my mom's latest blog (another blogger was asking what makes you happy), and it got me thinking. what makes me happy.

well, i'm happy when i'm listening my music. i can just drift off, relax, when i turn on media player. eclectic though the playlist can be, music is relaxing.
my mandalas make me happy. to take a blank design and turn it into a colorful piece of art, that is enjoyable. i also like to read and write, to discover new places (even if they're fictional) and to create my own.
and, despite what everyone else thinks, i love to sing. though my family (*gives them the raspberry*) thinks i can't, i can and do sing if i know the song well enough.
there's also driving through the woods, talking to my friends, playing with them in my online games....i could go on and on.
but i'm the happiest knowing that i have a wonderful, loving family.
